At JC Smith, our whole business revolves around one foundational rule:

“We build honestly. Our customers build our integrity.”

But practically speaking, what does that really mean? Simply put, it means that we always do the best work possible, that we do it honestly and transparently, and in a way that reflects positively on our community and our industry.

While we’ve obviously been eager to grow and expand our business over the last ten years, our motivation to do so has been largely driven by our desire to engage with fellow members of our Berkeley County, WV community and the tri-state area.

We’re thrilled to have played a role in the design and construction of so many of the area’s most beautiful homes and businesses. However, what means even more to us is the number of individuals and organizations who have let us know that we were able to meaningfully impact their lives and missions.

Over the last ten years, we’ve been honored to pitch in for a wide array of community initiatives, including (but certainly not limited to) everything from supporting high school athletics, to partnering with local churches, to promoting initiatives like Habitat for Humanity, food banks, and special olympics.

In many cases, we’ve been honored to offer financial support for initiatives that just needed a little bit of fuel to really excel. In others, we’ve rolled up our sleeves and donated our services, time, experience, or tools to projects that required contracting or construction expertise.

And while you may be wondering why we’ve dedicated a whole blog post to telling you about our past endeavors, the answer’s simple: We intend to continue supporting our community in any and every way possible. As long as we’re in business (we plan to stick around a while!), we will always seek out opportunities to positively impact our region.

If you know of a local organization, nonprofit, church, or even just a super-passionate and hardworking individual who may be able to benefit from our support, please feel free to connect us! We thank you for being part of the greater JC Smith family and look forward to continuing to better our community together.
